Pilates is a system of functional strengthening exercises designed to be performed in a controlled, precise fashion in order to restore the neutral curvature to the spine, allowing freedom and mobility in the shoulders and hips. Some of the exercises you may learn in group classes comprise nuanced movements than only a trained instructor can help you learn to execute properly – private training can help you learn proper execution and form, and how to work deeper when you are in a group class setting.
Every body has different needs when learning to execute an exercise properly – working in a one-on-one setting will help you reach your individual fitness goals faster. You’ll also be more confident each time you step into a group class, since we help you learn how to perform each exercise for YOUR body.
Core Continuum offers private, semi-private, and small-group training in the Pilates Academy International (PAI) method – each of our expert instructors have completed over 100 hours of comprehensive PAI instructor training, as well as Anatomy and Biomechanics. We don’t just teach you WHAT to do, we help you learn HOW to do it.
